Boulder - Boulder Creek Hometown Fair
August 30 - September 1, 2008

Location:  Boulder Public Library Lawn & Central Park lawn (along the Boulder Creek corridor, between 13th Street and 10th Streets, in downtown Boulder).  Main Performance stage is the Bandshell at the corner of Canyon & Broadway.  Free admission; free concerts.
This festival features arts & crafts exhibitors in Central Park, live performances at the Bandshell, a food court & beer garden, and an entire children’s area with carnival rides and exhibitors, the Great Zucchini Race, a Fire/Rescue Safety Expo, and much more!

Breckenridge - Great Divide Arts and Crafts Fair & Summit Foundation’s Rubber Duck Race
August 29-September 1, 2008
The Arts & Crafts Fair will feature more than 140 artists with a wide array of mediums including photography, sculpture, wood, jewelry, glass, painting and ceramics.  The Rubber Duck Race is a fundraiser, so entering a duck will cost you a donation, but you can watch the races for free.  Sidewalk Sale Days is also taking place this weekend.  877-864-0868 

Central City - Mine Tailings Music and Street Festival
August 30 - September 1, 2008
Free music on Main Street; Craft and food booths.  Performers include Chris Daniels and The Kings, Opie Gone, The Informants, As Is, The Hot Possee Band, and Jewel in the Rough.

Colorado Springs - Colorado Balloon Classic
August 30 - September 1, 2008
Location:  Memorial Park off Pikes Peak Avenue between Hancock Ave. and Union Blvd near the shores of Prospect Lake
The Colorado Balloon Classic has grown to be the largest and the longest continuously running hot air balloon festival in the Rocky Mountain Region as well as the State of Colorado.  Mass ascensions with over 100 balloons are scheduled for Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings with a Balloon Glo® scheduled for Saturday and Sunday evenings.  Concessions and live entertainment.

Copper Mountain - Copper Country 2008

How could we skip “the big one”!?!   This annual event draws huge crowds to enjoy food (not free), music, arts and crafts, and kids’ activities.
